Ian has been with 89.7 since day one, hosting multiple radio shows over the past 30 years. He played a crucial role in 897 Bay and shaped the radio station to what it is today.
He started his career back in 1992 with his very own radio show airing Friday nights from 8pm to 10pm. Ian also used to DJ in some of Malta’s biggest party venues, Styx II, Axis and Numero Uno over many decades.
We will forever remember Ian as the cheerful and kind man he was, and will cherish all the memories made with him from the very start of Bay.
His Family wish to thank Hospice Malta who supported Ian throughout his battle and have asked that donations in lieu of flowers are made to the NGO.
Hospice Malta, a registered voluntary organisation with the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (VO/0062), was founded in 1989 with the aim to provide and promote the highest standards of Palliative care.
Throughout the year, over 1,300 patients and their families benefit from Hospice Malta palliative care service in the community. The service is provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with the support of over 200 volunteers, to patients suffering from cancer, motor neuron disease (ALS), cardiac, respiratory, renal and liver diseases.
