As some of you know, this year in March my dear friend Amy passed away, after a long battle against cancer, which was all the harder because of her genetic illness: cystic fibrosis. She was a fighter all her life, studious, clever, sweet and funny. She is very dearly missed by myself, her family and friends. So i have decided to run the Dresden half marathon on October 21st, to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, hoping that further research will find solutions to dealing with pre-existing conditions and additional diseases. If you know someone who has cystic fibrosis you will know the battle they are fighting. Please help me achieve my aim by donating, if you can. If not, your moral support for this cause is important all the same. I have never been an excellent runner but i am enjoying my training and running with a purposes makes it easier. I hope to complete the half marathon in maximum 2 hours and 45 minutes! Let's hope so!!!!
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. Their mission is to create a world where being born with CF no longer means a lifelong burden of care and an early death, when everyone living with the condition will be able to look forward to a long, healthy life.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
