Campaign Story
This campaign is to raise funds for the Bhusakwe family family who lost their son on 17 November 2017.
Abongile, affectionately known as Rasta, lost his life to illness at the very young age of 19. He was a fit and healthy young man who worked and trained hard to be part of local mountain biking communities. He joined the songo.info program at a young age, and literally 'rose through the ranks' - working his way through BMX to cross country mountain biking, and went on to compete in the prestigious Cape Epic in 2017 for the BMT Academy. At just 18 he and his partner placed 92nd in their category.
Rasta came from challenging circumstances but was so determined to succeed in life, he was always passionate, motivated, warm, funny and driven.
These funds are to help cover the costs of his funeral and family expenses.
THANK YOU for your support.
