MY WORLD LIFE EXPERIENCES FUNDRAISING STORY
My name is Nakasi Cathy, Ugandan and of African origin. I am a social worker by profession, currently working with Refugees in Uganda with AVSI Foundation Uganda under the End Violence against Children Project (EVAC). Am also the co-Founder of Cathy and Friends Foundation a Social Non-Profit organization supporting women empowerment initiatives.
I love travelling as a way of learning and networking with people. Since 2016, I have been travelling every time I get a chance to, however, my travels always have impact intended objectives. My first travel was within my own country when I travelled to explore the country side; it was here that I learnt the meaning of travelling with a purpose. As a person, travelling is another way of learning and sharing my life experiences with others as well as inspiring, networking and supporting others.
This year, I have got a chance to yet again travel, but this time around, I will be travelling outside my country to attend one of the most impactful conferences which brings together Global Leaders that want to make a world a better place for all to live!! . Hive Global Leaders Program is a community of Global Leaders with a purpose of making a world a better place for all through their main focus of supporting in creating authentic leaders. As a young Leader in my community, am privileged to have been accepted to volunteer at Hive Global Leaders Program in Quebec Canada in Montreal this coming October 16th – 19th 2018
Through this conference, I will be able to share with other Global Leaders in areas of women empowerment initiatives and Leadership especially about the work of Cathy and Friends Foundation, a chance to exhibit the work of women empowerment initiatives as well as network with others. It will also give me a chance to interact with some of the inspirational speakers like Ryan Allis and many others that have been invited at the conference.
For me to be able to attend and volunteer at the conference, I will need some support with my travel expenses, i.e. air ticket. I need to raise $1500 within 2 months

Update posted by Cathy Nakasi at 05:10 pmhey well wishers, will be closing the fundraiser on the 20th of August instead of 16th, this is because i will need more days to enable realsie my goalI have also been having offline donations, now i have $150 got from friends so we still need $1,350 to go
