MY FIRST RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TESTIMONY
6 years ago I had just joined campus; so many things were happening to meet or rather making them happen too. At this time clubbing was the ‘Kesha’ (all night I knew), alcohol was the desert of the day. One of the fine evenings I was in my room having a couple of drinks when a young man walked into my room. After talking to me about the gospel he later invited me to the church which I declined (Lol). The next Saturday he insisted I sho uld join him, which I went just to make him happy and never to be bothered again.
So I went to their fellowship… the atmosphere was calm it was like I was running and finally found a park with trees and very smooth (So relaxing). The service was full of young people like me, fast forward. I remember this talk show anchored by Bro Evans Evans Wakaba (Now Pastor), I can remember how they sat, how they spoke. The topic was Challenges young people face and the solution. All the challenges they spoke about I was going through them and I wondered who told them it was like they were addressing me. Amazingly the solution they gave was the word of God. I wasn’t a fan of the bible I only enjoyed the overwhelming episodes of the likes of David and Goliath, Moses and the Ten Commandments etc. I couldn’t understand Paul Teachings I felt like he wasn’t addressing me anyway. So that was what was going on in my Mind when they mentioned the word of God. Sis Anna Mwake said “You can start by studying our daily devotional book Rhapsody of realities this book has impacted my Life, try it and in two weeks you will come back with a testimony”
I was given my copy as a fast timer I couldn’t wait to read this book that they so spoke about, I started having a deliberate therapy to prove them wrong (Lol) I set my alarm and every morning I would wake up and read do the confession and sleep again. In two weeks indeed I don’t know what happened I lost the taste of alcohol, I couldn’t even think of drinking it nor did clubbing get to my mind. I proved myself wrong and from that day I have never stopped reading the Rhapsody of realities. …To be continued
