Immediate Heart Operation for Ellaine

She's Ellaine Nuguid, my bestfriend's youngest sister. She's just 16 and currently in 2nd year high school. Unfortunately though, she has long been suffering from Rheumatic Heart Disease. Ever since her diagnosis in 2005, she has to continuously take oral medications to sustain her health but still this doesn't prevent her heart to weaken; and because of the heavy dosage of medicines that she took, she lungs and liver are also suffering now.

Last December 2015, she was confined at the ICU of Philippine Heart Center. The doctors immediately advised their family that Ellaine needs to undergo an immediate heart operation to replace the valves of her heart and postponing this will only worsen her condition.

In the few times that I was able to talk to her, I find her witty and full of charm. She likes to share a few stories about school and as my best friend recently told me, just like any other teen, she's also way to excited about their school prom; but sadly she needs to postpone this event and drop out from school for the meantime because of her condition.

To be able to push through with this operation, they'll be needing an ample sum amounting to $17,000.00 and added $3,000.00 more for the post operation medicines and other hospital expenses.
