I’m A Tough Cookie Coz With Your Help Cancer Won’t Beat Me

Hi, I'mEmilou Pene, a single mom to a 6 years old son. I just started my career outside of the country when I felt a sudden pain in my pelvic area right after my birthday last October 2017. I've been to consultations with different doctors but apparently, they have different diagnosis so I came back here in the Philippines to seek medical help and eventually advised to have an open surgery ASAP to remove one of the two tumors found which are already big. To make the story short, the doctors sent the tumor for biopsy found out that I have a rare type of cancer called Choriocarcinoma; Stage 3 High Risk.

After the firsy cycle of chemo I observed that my hair started to fall so I decided to shave it off. I'm not mad looking at myself in the mirror, I actually love it. It's like the new me or should I say THE STRONG VERSION OF ME.

And so I'm seeking for financial help continue my treatment since I am not financially capable to fund my next series of treatments after losing my job aside from making sure to give my son his needs.

It will still be a long fight and more doctor appointments. Countless nights in the hospital but I will fight and win this battle to have more time with my family specially my son. When I get back on track I will spread awareness and positivity about this disease and for the patients and their family to always look at the bright side of everything that's been happening even in the worst situation. This cancer is not the end of my story and the many stories of those lives being affected by this and besides financial help, I would like to ask everyone who reads this to say a short prayer for me and for those affected by the same disease.
