ABOUT THE FILM:

ILLUSIONS (tentative title)

Thriller/Horror

LOGLINE:  A disillusioned man tries to gain control of his life as the people closest to him begin to die mysteriously.

 

SUMMARY:

Have you ever believed it was a certain day only to find out it wasn’t?  Nathan Myers seems to be an everyday normal guy. But he has one common ailment. He suffers from nightmares. If it weren’t for that, life would be pretty good for he and his girlfriend Sarah. A neurotic, diagnosed with mild schizophrenia life proves to be challenging for Nathan. If it weren’t for his constant checks on reality he would lose it. One day, that’s exactly what happens. Nathan wakes to find out that his best friend of ten years has been murdered. Detectives assigned to the investigation are convinced this schizophrenic nut job is the killer but with no proof they have to let him go.  He then begins to have visions of being followed. But are they illusions or real?  Is this man the one who killed his friend or a figment of his imagination?  He keeps hoping to wake from this nightmare as the killings to his personal friends begin to pile up. The only common denominator to each one is him! With the police hot on his trail, he has to deal with his apparition, convince everyone he’s not crazy, and prove his innocence to the one person he loves most.

 

HOW YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED: The money we raise here will go directly towards covering the initial pre-production costs of the film, such as: casting, administrations, locations, cast/crew pay, catering, and possibly initial filming etc. The goal set, is just a small portion of the overall funding needed, so every bit definitely helps. We want the final product to match the vision we’ve set for the film.  With the work of the varied talent (actors, cinematographer, crew, sound, set designer and more) and your contribution, we know this exciting project can have a great DVD release! The film is currently set to start shooting in late March 2013.  A theatrical release is hopeful. 

 

WHY DONATE:

This is the third feature film written and produced by award winning actor Rod Grant.

The film is being made by many talented people both behind and in front of the camera on a very limited budget. The team is by and large donating their time, talents, and efforts to help bring an ambitious project to life with limited funding.

 

OUR MISSION: Communicating esthetics to the world through the art of the moving image. We believe we can change the world through art alone.  We create to entertain and inspire all audiences. You can feel proud that your donation however large or small is contributing to that change.

 

We will have regular updates keeping everyone in the loop and showing the progress being made. Behind the scene photos and frames from the trailer will also be made available in addition to concept art and sneak peeks!
