Lanao del Norte (Iligan) Fire Incident

Good day, everyone!

We created this campaign on behalf of a colleague here in RN<>SSI Cebu – Annafi Andales. Last August 29th at 3PM in the afternoon, I got a message from her that their house in ILigan, Philippines was on fire. It started with their neighbor’s house and it quickly spread and engulfed the whole place. Annafi’s parents, youngest sibling and nephew lived there, thankfully the incident happened without them getting harmed. Looking at the pictures, it is a devastating reality that what you saved up for years would be gone in an instant and it could happen to anyone. We are humbly reaching out to friends, colleagues, relatives and everyone to help our colleague lighten up the burden of this unfortunate tragedy.

Her words of encouragement addressed to her affected Family especially to her parents:

Faith will overcome fears, doubt and insecurities. Sometimes in life we don't recognize how strong we actually are until we are faced with a great tragedy in our life. This calamity we face today will help develop the strength and fortitude we need for tomorrow.

Losing everything we own is sad, but the things we own do not diminish who we are inside. Sometimes the worst situation brings out the best in us and others.

When you put together a jigsaw puzzle made of hundreds of pieces, you put it together one piece at a time. No one can go back and change what has happened, but we can all start today and make a new tomorrow, one shovel at a time, one day at a time.

Mama...Papa....hang in there. We got your back! We can do this!
