iDID Northampton

Who we are

iDID Northampton is an award winning community group improving well-being, confidence and self esteem through access and participation in advneture sports. The club offers unique opportunities to deaf and disabled young adults in sports such as rock climbing, canoeing, skiing, wakeboarding and surfing! 

What we do?

Our volunteers work with young people that have a variety of disabilities ranging from hearing loss, visual impairments and Autism, through to those with complex  learning difficulties. The club philosophy is built around self-development and encourages members to challenge themselves through sporting and leadership activities. The club offers four core sports as a club:

Paraclimbing Club: Sunday mornings from 10-12.30, Pinnacle Climbing Centre, Northampton

Paddlesports Club: Saturday mornings from 10-12.30, Nene Water Centre, Northampton

Wakeboard Club: Club Wake Park, Grendon

Adaptive Snow Club: Every second Sunday of the month, Sno!Zone, Milton Keynes

 Funding goes towards opportunity development, volunteer costs and ensuring we can provide the best support for young deaf and disabled people.
