ID card

We did the project "Our ID card" it’s a digital printshop in which we capacitated 8 OSI from Herceg Novi, in Pljevlja 9 OSI and in Bjelo Polje 11. They are all trained for work in digital printshop They are all trained to work in digital printing. Printshop has been equipped with donations from FOSI ROM, CNF, fakt, ORT USAID. Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Employment Agency of Montenegro are our partners in the project. Considering the fact that printshop “Our ID card” already exists for 5 years OSI have gained confidence and new skills, and most importantly they have specialized, but there is still a lack of confidence in their work and their results. Currently there are 4 OSi working with different diagnoses (autism, dyplegija spastic, deaf, mild mental retardation). Jobs are divided according to their working capacity. Until now we have them escorted with min income through projects and with their offering products. From the profits of these products, we succeeded to provide some raw materials. But due to the crisis and the lack of donators there is a danger that this printshop “Our ID card” stops working. So far this has been their window to the world, an example that they can and want to work, not just supporting in work but also printing and designing. Termination of this operation would mean the return of the youth to the isolation in which they previously were, we would take away the best thing that happened in their lifes, and that is right to work and the right to life. And not only OSI but also their families. Assets that we are missing are required for the sustainability of this workshop, we would use a portion of the allowance for OSI personal income and for raw materials. Considering the fact that they are people disabled with limited work skills during work they create a lot of waste material (paper), and the required amount they are not able to earn given that only I am employed as a project leader and assistant for four of them.
