Ice & Fire Con

OUR HISTORY

Ice & Fire Con is the brainchild of a handful of fans who met at Dragon*Con in 2012...and were sadly disappointed in the lack of ASOIAF/Game of Thrones programming available at that and other major conventions. They knew about Throne Con in London, and they figured...shouldn't the US have our own Song of Ice & Fire convention? Not one month later - in late September 2012 - the location was chosen, the weekend was scheduled, and the first ever Ice & Fire Con went live on the internet.

THE BASICS

This Convention of Ice & Fire, a convention themed around George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice & Fire series,  is the only convention of its sort in America. Come meet and socialize with other fans, discuss the books and the HBO series based on them, play the RPG or board game, enjoy a medieval feast, and be transported into the world of Ice and Fire. Though not by any means required, you are certainly encouraged to come dressed as your favorite character!

Ice & Fire Con 2013 was a sold-out event, but we planned and are executing it at cost, to keep it affordable for attendees. Of course our desire is to make this an annual convention, to grow in size, and to hopefully [eventually] have Game of Thrones actors as guests at the convention...but for that, we of course need funding. And this is where you - and this Go Get Funding project - come in
