My Name is Pia Victoria Sabang Salatandre, 34 years of age and currently residing at Brgy. Sauyo, Quezon City. I worked as a Customer Service Representative for 9 years and an ESL Teacher for 8 months.

In October 2008, I was diagnosed with PSORIASIS. Everything went all fine until all of a sudden in July 2017 everything has changed. I was about to go to work when ai noticed that I an experiencing severe back pains that I cannot take the pain anymore. So, I decided to go to the Emergency Room all by myself and from there a lot of tests were done. (Blood tests and Ultrasound).

Results came out and the doctors suddenly referred me to surgery after and they told me that I need to undergo biopsy as they saw a mass formed in between the urinary bladder and uterus. So without hesitation, I agreed to do the biopsy and results will come out after 1 week.

After a week of waiting, the results came out. And it was MUCINOUS ADENOCARCINOMA. Immediately I talked to my uro-surgeon and given me options. To undergo chemotherapy or to remove the tumor (but it will be very very expensive). I decided to undergo chemotherapy first and surgery will be my last option if there will be no changes on the tumor growth.

I have been to chemotherapy sessions and applied for the philhealth package for cancer patients. After several sessions nothing has changed until April 10,2020 I was rushed to the hospital as I had difficulty walking, breathing and experienced fainting everytime after I finished taking a shower. A lot of tests were done and results came out that my creatinine and my hemoglobin had abnormalities. Doctors advised that I needed to do blood transfusion of total 9-10bags of blood. I went out of the hospital May 24,2020 then admitted again June 20-27 ,2020 with the same concern. And admitted again September 2-20,2020 same concern all about creatinine and hemoglobin.

And I was then advised by the philhealth office that I have already consumed the number of confinement days allowed for them to cover my expenses. From the time I was admitted last April we always take the chance of asking help from the government especially during the time that I had to pay 250,000 for my hospital bill. We already exerted everything. Every savings we had we already used it.

Until the last admission I had last September, Doctors already advised that I need to go to National Kidney and Transplant Institute and was referred to another uro-surgeon as they already recommended that I should have a NEPHROSTOMY TUBE INSERTION done so that my left kidney will function and excrete the urine or waste that is in the kidney.

Currently, My diagnosis as they have seen is I have ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY ON TOP OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE. Which I am thinking is critical as of the moment.

As of now, I am on 8 different medications as to support the needs of my body temporarily.

Please help me in getting funds for the said operation to extend my life, to spend more time with family and friends for a longer period of time.
