Help Kuya Mak a fighting chance in beating Leukemia

Kuya Mark “Mak” Taberdo, my older brother from another mother. He’s one of my treasured friends that left a great impact to my life which I won’t forget. A best friend, a supportive brother, a hardworking son, a loving partner, the joker of the group, our acting dad and the cooking guru of the house. However, a couple of days ago, while we’re on our way home with my sister, she was so aggressive and was easing to start a conversation which seems to be very important that I really need to hear. Suddenly, mixed emotions and medical words had no meaning to me at that time when I heard about what happened to Kuya Mak.

Kuya Mak was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) last September 2017 at Macau and until now we can’t really believe. Talking to his younger sister, Ate Pam, that after knowing the result of tests and diagnostics that was made to Kuya Mak, they decided to go back here in the Philippines to undergo some series of tests again since hospital fees are too expensive there.

Due to insufficient funds, he just decided to undergo with his treatment last February 23, 2018.

From a strong manong, a genuine friend and the kengkoy of the group, now, he’s currently admitted at Baguio General Hospital (BGH). Chemotherapy sessions started that makes him weak and lose money hand over fist. He started to lose weight rapidly, having a hard time moving his body unlike before. Also, he can’t speak that much due to pain which break out our tears.

After what he has done not only to me, but also to my sisters and to my mom. It's our turn to show the love, energy, time, gift and financial support to his family.

This GoGetFunding was set up to help our Kuya Mark, to deal with the overwhelming costs associated with his hospital bills, chemotherapy sessions and continuous medications Any amount, large or small, will make a difference and be greatly appreciated.
