I was scammed

I’m completely broke. I was hoping by selling some PlayStation games I had would bring in some money, I got contacted by somebody, they asked to EFT me so I was hopeful. They provided me with a proof of payment, and I got a text from what I thought was the bank confirming that the transaction was made and the money would soon be in my account. I was so happy. After they “buyer” collected the games I was so happy that I was finally going to get some money. It was a scam, in retrospect my actions were extremely stupid for not requesting cash on pick up. That’s what people do when they’re desperate like me, they trust too easily and hope for the best. I just feel defeated yet again.
