Taking a step back

Hi everyone,

My name is Miguel, I live in London, and I work my butt off for a consultancy which I like, but it does void me of some pleasures in life, such as relaxing!

I left home (Madrid), when I was 18. I am now 24 years old and starting to crave going back to my roots. I feel like since I was 18, I have made most decisions without much consideration, and only now am I beginning to think about taking a step back and asking myself those key questions which really are the cornerstone of the soul "who am I", "what do I like", "what do I want", or the ever-illusive "what makes me happy?".

As I commence this quest of self discovery, I have identified two things that will hopefully help me take some steps in the right direction. The first is family: re-uniting with my family, my grandparents, my parents, brother, cousins, and spending quality time with them again. And the second is travel, and when I say this, I don't mean holiday, but travel. Solo-travel, more specifically - a time to discover, reflect, and immerse yourself in environments that are totally new and pose new challenges, put you in touch with new people, and broaden your horizons.

For this reason, I am starting this page with the purpose of perhaps coming across a few kind soles who will relate to where I am in this moment in life, and contribute a little bit to providing me with the means to undertake some of these experiences.
