Few words about me

Hi!
My name is Rattikan and I come from a small village in north Thailand. I moved to Spain 6 years ago with my son when I got married to my ex. It has been a rough road as I got here just when the Spanish economy plunged deeper into recession. With my experience in hospitality and tourism, I was lucky enough to find a job in a restaurant which then later shut down after 2 years of business. I was obligated to look for other alternative which led me to education. I started offering English conversation class and after school English activities in the schools.

Why?
Working with children has interest me to pursue a degree in education.
Try think back to when you were a student, what was the experience like? Do you consider yourself a good student? Why?
Well, personally, I believe there is no such thing as a bad student. We are all unique and special in our own ways. I recall my bad experience in a math class and memorable Art class. What contributed to such experience were the attitudes of the teachers and approaches they used to deliver the curriculum.
So, I want to become a good teacher.

Why do I ask you for support

After deciding to study again, I have currently completed and passed 240 credits. Due to limited working hours (I can only work while my son is in school since hiring someone to care for him while I work is more expensive), I earn just enough to cover monthly expenses. I am facing difficulties in paying for the final 120 credits in order to obtain an honour degree in education.

I have looked into the student loans but I am not eligible for any due to my limited income. Finding a full-time job that has flexible hour which will fit with my son's schedule is difficult as I am also a single mum. My families are farmers and are not able to help for the final 120 credits. They have already helped out for the previous 120 credits I completed last year. I aim to complete the 120 credits by June 2019 so that I can graduate and be qualified as a teacher.

What I need money for:
current fee for 60 credits is £2,928*
current fee for 120 credits – which is equivalent to a year's full-time study – is £5,856*.

*The fee information provided here is valid for modules starting before 31 July 2019. Fees normally increase annually in line with inflation and the University's strategic approach to fees.

Your support, no matter the amount, can make a difference. Please, help me realise this dream so that in turn, I may have the chance to pass on the kindness to others in need.

I'm happy to answer any questions you have if there's something you want to know that isn't covered here.

I thank you in advance for your kind support.
