Hi, I am a Japanese student who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the U.S from this August. I am in need of financial assistance in order to attend a university because I am a low-income student. I have a younger sister and a younger brother. I am a first-child to go to college. My parents are both working very hard every single day to provide for my family. Although they gave me many supports, I received limited financial assistance due to low family income. It is also because they need to support my siblings to go to school. To reduce family burden, I am holding student loans to pay for my tuitions. Fortunately, I was able to manage to study at the community college in the United States for two years with the assistance of student loan and family support. However, with the plan of transferring to the 4-year university this year, I am facing more challenges of financial need. The tuition will be estimated 3 times more than the community college. Last month, I came back in Japan because I could not afford to go to the 4-year university. Unfortunately, without the need for more financial assistance, I will need to compromise to study in the U.S. Furthermore, the financial burden may limit my career options because I will need to find a job which pays me a lot to return the student loan. Although I appreciate that I got an opportunity to take out a student loan, I do not desire to have a fear of financial burden that ends up thinking just making money in the future. I left Japan with a hope and a passion to be a person who plays roles on a global stage in the future. I do not want to stop following the path that I chose.
I want to study for computer science in the U.S. The reason that I would like to keep studying in the United States is that I want to deepen my major in computer science in the leading IT country, the United States. The college that I am eager to go is CUNY college. It's located in NYC.
I would greatly appreciate a helping hand so that I can successfully obtain my computer science degree. Than you if you read this page!
