After being involved in a motorcycle accident in April 2013 that almost took my life, I thought that once the recovery period started the worst was over. Little did I no that the it was only just the begining.

I now suffer with traumatic brain injury, weakness to my complete right side, cognitive, visual and speech impairment, internal metal fixtures in my right leg. Not to mention post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and deppression. The list continues but as my fiance reminds me "I'm still alive".

My family lost everything that we had ever worked for; our family home, my own business, personal belonings due to a family court battle with my mother,my job/trade and my fiance no longer works as she is my full time carer. The only thing that we didnt loose was each other.

We thought this year was going to be a new begining, we found a home and tried to make a fresh start. We managed to survive this long on the money that we had saved, but due to the delay in processing times for my disability pension we have now fallen behind in rent and struggle to survive each day. Depite my social worker working with us to help negotiate and sort out our financial difficulties, we have not managed to progress forward. We held a garage sale to help raise the extra funds to try and catch up but still we struggle to survive each day, to the extent that our son has had the last week off school as we can not afford to have the fuel pump replaced on our family car.

The feeling of knowing that we are are at risk of loosing everything again is completly humiliating and I feel so useless as I was once the main provider. My fiance has almost hit rock bottom with all the stress and we are struggling to comfort and reassure each other as we once did that everything will be ok, because we honestly just dont no how much longer we can survive living like this.

We have exahusted all our options for help from centerlink, housing and local community centres. Being told that they can only do so much or cant help until we actually homeless. We received a beautiful email from a lovely lady informing us of this site, so we are hoping that since we have been neglected help from the local services that the community can understand our position and offer some assistance.

Our complete story can be found on gumtree: Will things ever be the same again & How much more honestly
