My name is Ali sadikin from Makassar city (South Sulawesi). Indonesia, a volunteer teacher, and humanitarian activist
since covid-19 my income as an employee has been cut by 50 percent and my savings have been used up to cover my daily living expenses, because my salary is not enough for me as a result I can no longer afford to buy a laptop battery, because the laptop I use for daily teaching activities days and save the subject file has been corrupted. Plus I don't have the funds anymore to buy whiteboards and supporting books such as encyclopedias and dictionaries. As a result, many students feel uncomfortable due to inadequate facilities, because they only use makeshift posters and paper and this greatly hinders the teaching and learning process. and I was very sad when I had to stop teaching because they were very enthusiastic to learn despite the limited facilities.
This fundraiser starts on October 14, 2021, and for this year we are aiming to raise $500 which we will use to buy laptop batteries. 4 whiteboards, 4 mats, 40 English-Indonesian dictionaries, and 40 science encyclopedia books, 4 large plastic boxes for book storage.
I really hope that this fundraising goes well so that I can continue to provide guidance as a volunteer for the mission of caring for the environment by providing environmental awareness education programs for children, especially at elementary school age, by paying attention to the values of environmental education. . and the natural resources taught are still shallow. I hope this program can answer the problems of human tragedies such as environmental conservation or natural disasters that are beneficial for local nodes to create environmental interactions that aim to harmonize development with the environment. Therefore, I am ready to make changes to serve this nation, sacrificing anything for my nation, for my environment, for my forests, for my seas, for the future of my next generation to become a better Indonesian nation in the future.
