I need textbooks and a laptop for college

I wish I didn't have to do this, but I have no choice. I need money to buy textbooks and a laptop for the upcoming year. I am fortunate to attend a good college with reduced tuition and a scholarship but my family and I are barely getting by. The textbooks will cost me over $400 even though they are used. I need, not just want, a laptop that is able to handle demanding programs for my major (architecture/construction management). The laptop will cost me around $1500 due to custom specs.

I am going back to college soon, so I need the money soon so I can order textbooks and a laptop in time for classes (which is why this 'project' is only 5 days long) 

I also plan to donate my laptop (older but usable, I just can't use it for my programs) to someone who really needs it. Its not worth much if I sell it anyway and I would love to do my part since everyone is helping me out. I will donate the books to someone who really needs it next year when I am done with the classes.

Any amount would help a lot. Any donations over $50 will recieve a simple thank you note from me in the mail. Just message me your address. I wish I can mail a thank you note to everyone, but stamps are not cheap! 

This might be crazy, but if someone donates a generous amount of at least $100, I will send a special gift!

I just featured this hoping I will get enough attention/money since I only have 5 days. Please make it worth the $15 I just spent! I may not get enough for a laptop, but I can get enough for books, I hope :)
