i need some help to get a car for medical appts

I am seeking assistance in obtaining a used, reliable vehicle so I can

make it to my dialysis appointments each week. I have reached out to

various organizations that I thought might be able to help, to no avail.

I desperately need to buy a car for my dialysis trips to Saskatoon from

North Battleford; it’s a 1.5-hour drive to get there and costs me about

$150.00 per week in fuel. I currently only get a small Canada pension,

which is about $804.00 per month. I am unable to get a job because

people look at me like a liability and are not able to work around my

dialysis schedule, which is three times a week. My wife works here at

the Co-Op and that brings in no more than $1400.00 a month. With the

expense of a 13-year-old son, as well as rent, power, gas, and

groceries, we don’t have near enough to get a vehicle.

We’ve

tried everything within our resources, but if I cannot get to my

appointments I will get very sick, and if I miss too many I will loose

my chance at getting a transplant, as they require you to stay on top of

your treatments. This is my last chance, and my last resort for help,

we realize times are tough for everyone right now, but if you could even

spare $20 it would go a long way to helping us reach our goal of a

decent used vehicle to get these appointments.
