I am a former member of McKinsey & Co's European Operations Practice and citizen of Botswana and was this week awarded with a contract to supply a parastatal company in the country with a minimum of 1000 cattle per month starting in September 2017 (contract valid for a year) in my persnal capacity. Over the last month, I have completed two orders with the same organisation for seven (7) and thirty (30) cattle respectively as a pilot to test their ability to meet their target two week invoice settling process. The first invoice was settled three weeks late, and the CEO and CFO of the organisation encouraged me to give their staff another chance, hence the second delivery of thirty and subsequent award of a contract.
My cattle supplier base is a network of small communities in foot and mouth disease free regions of Botswana, and I am able to secure the cattle for slightly below market rates as I pay for them in cash on receipt. I have successfully bought in excess of one hundred and fifty (150) animals in this way over the last six weeks and am confident of securing the contracted quantities if I have the cash.
I am in the process of raising funding with local agencies, but the approval process will be roughly three to six weeks, and I need as much of the cash as I can get literally as soon as Tuesday the 29th August, when I have arranged to be buying from one of my supplier communities. I am happy to repay all contributions inclusive of a 1.2% yeild in three months. No contribution is too small. Please feel free to send me any questions you may have.
