1.My name is Panayiotis Tsibukis and I live in Trikala which is a small town in Greece.

I am a 36 years old man and I hold a degree in Computer Science. I was born disabled suffering from spastic Quadriplegia, due to birth asphyxia. I managed to walk with a walker after having several operations (the exact number 10) throughout the past years.

However, I still suffer from severe headaches, dizziness, fainting and my vision is not clear. I urgently need an eye surgery to be able to see and work.

The cost of an eye surgery is about 2000 euros and can be conducted only in a private hospital. The government doesn’t cover the expense in a public hospital.

To make matters worse, my walking abnormality has led to toe issues ( I have a crooked toe), thus surgery is required. Unfortunately, the pandemic makes it hard to go through surgery in a public hospital so it is possible that I will have to look for a private one.

The cost of the surgery for my left leg's toe is about 1500 euros and the doctor who supervises my condition since I was a little boy, is employed at a private hospital. When I approached a public hospital, I was urged not to change my doctor since he is familiar with my problem and fully informed of my medical record.

The rest 500 euros that I am requesting, are necessary as, even though I reached a job through OAED (the responsible service for the unemployed), they don’t accept my disability documents because they were deamed expired, despite the fact that my condition is irreversible.

In order to obtain another valid document from a new committee that confirms my disability, I need to run a new series of diagnostics so that to organize a new file.

Besides, some surgeons wouldn't undertake such an operation. Furthermore, I face a serious problem with my stomach.

I have been through a failed operation in 2010 due to severe gastroesophageal reflux and I am recently diagnosed with parasophagitis.

That leads to an extra problem as I need to go through continuous gastroscopies once or twice a year until I have my final surgery.

Additionally, I have to move to Athens to improve my body balance in order to be able to have aquatic treatments and other serious treatments as well with electrodes in the waist area. The cost of all those surgeries condemned me and my family to a financial nightmare.

We are literally broke with no money to continue.

I tried to get a loan but the banks do not approve loans for people with disabilities.

I was lucky to have a fundraiser for my eye surgery, but in the meanwhile my father died so I had to pay for the funeral expenses cancelling the eye surgery.

I would kindly ask you to help me with my treatments, which I cannot afford due to my economic situation.

Ονομάζομαι Παναγιώτης Τσιμπούκης και ζω στα Τρίκαλα Θεσσαλίας.

Είμαι 36 ετών κι έχω σπουδάσει πληροφορική.

Γεννήθηκα με αναπηρία, υποφέρω από σπαστική τετραπληγία λόγω εμβρυικής ασφυξίας.

Κατάφερα να περπατήσω με πι μετά από αρκετές επεμβάσεις (δέκα στο πλήθος) όλα αυτά τα χρόνια.

Παρόλα αυτά, ταλαιπωρούμαι ακόμα από σοβαρούς πονοκεφάλους, ζαλάδα, λιποθυμικά επεισόδια και η όρασή μου δεν είναι καθαρή.

Χρειάζομαι επειγόντως χειρουργείο για να καταφέρω να βλέπω ώστε να εργαστώ.

Το κόστος για την εγχείρηση στα μάτια είναι περίπου στα 2.000 ευρώ και πραγματοποιείται μόνο σε ιδιωτικό νοσοκομείο . Το κράτος δεν καλύπτει τα έξοδα σε δημόσιο νοσοκομείο.

Εκτός αυτού, έχω πρόβλημα σε δάχτυλο του αριστερού ποδιού μου, το οποίο προκλήθηκε από την κινητική αναπηρία και πρέπει να χειρουργηθεί.

Το κόστος για την εγχείρηση του δακτύλου του αριστερού ποδιού είναι περίπου στα 1.500 ευρώ και ο γιατρός που με παρακολουθεί από μικρή ηλικία εργάζεται σε ιδιωτικό νοσοκομείο. Όταν απευθύνθηκα σε δημόσιο κρατικό Νοσοκομείο με προέτρεψαν να μην αλλάξω τον θεράποντα ιατρό μου καθώς είναι πλήρως ενημερωμένος για την κατάστασή μου και σαφώς εξοικειωμένος με το ιατρικό ιστορικό μου.

Τα υπόλοιπα 500 ευρώ που ζητούνται είναι απαραίτητα γιατί, ενώ έχω βρει δουλειά μέσω του ΟΑΕΔ (είναι το γραφείο που βρίσκει δουλειά σε άνεργους) δεν δέχονται το πιστοποιητικό αναπηρίας μου καθώς κρίθηκε πως δεν είναι σε ισχύ πλέον, παρόλο που η πάθησή μου είναι μη αναστρέψιμη.

Η απόκτηση νέου εγγράφου από καινούργια επιτροπή που να πιστοποιεί την αναπηρία μου , απαιτεί μία σειρά εξετάσεων ώστε να καταρτίσω ένα καινούργιο φάκελο.

Επιπλέον, αντιμετωπίζω σοβαρό πρόβλημα με το στομάχι μου.

Έκανα μια αποτυχημένη επέμβαση το 2010 εξαιτίας σοβαρής γαστροοισοφαγικής παλινδρόμησης και πρόσφατα διαγνώστηκα με παρά οισοφαγίτιδα με παλινδρόμηση.

Αυτό οδηγεί σε επιπλέον πρόβλημα καθώς χρειάζεται να κάνω γαστροσκόπηση μια με δύο φορές το χρόνο μέχρι να κάνω το τελευταίο χειρουργείο.

Ακόμα, είναι αναγκαίο να μετακομίσω στην Αθήνα για να βελτιώσω την ισορροπία μου ώστε να καταφέρω να κάνω υδροθεραπεία καθώς και άλλες σημαντικές θεραπείες με ηλεκτρόδια για την περιοχή της μέσης.

Το κόστος όλων αυτών των χειρουργείων αποτελεί εφιάλτη για εμένα και την οικογένειά μου .

Είμαστε ουσιαστικά άποροι και είναι αδύνατον να συνεχίσουμε.

Προσπάθησα να πάρω δάνειο αλλά οι τράπεζες δεν εγκρίνουν δάνεια σε άτομα με αναπηρίες.

Στάθηκα κάποια στιγμή τυχερός, αφού μέσω εράνου συγκέντρωσα ποσό για την επέμβαση στο μάτι αλλά έχασα τον πατέρα μου και έδωσα αυτό το ποσό για τα έξοδα της κηδείας.

Έτσι, η επέμβαση ακυρώθηκε.

Βοηθήστε με αν έχετε την καλοσύνη, βρίσκομαι σε άσχημη οικονομική κατάσταση.
