Campaign Story
I realized that there are a lot of my fellow machinist who after college would like to join the industry but they lack experience. If I can start a workshop where I can invite the college leavers to come and get hands on as they get the skills necessary to allow them join the industry I will have had a lot of impact in their career. I am a machinist and would be happy training them and sharing my experience as they prepare to face the challenges. I remember when I completed my college studies, I had no idea what to do after because I studied a course that I didn't have a chance to have hands on with the college machines, I struggled a long way, I was lucky I asked for a chance to prove I am a fast learner at the company I work for, I did my best and now I believe I should share my skills. Out of 13 of my college class mates, I know of us two whom we are conversant with machining. The rest too wish they had a chance to train immediately after college. If I can get the funding as cash or in terms of machinery (a mill and a Lathe) machine donation I believe I will help dozens of them. Trade skills I believe will help many out of poverty. Help me fight and fulfill this cause. Thank you for helping.
