I made a mistake

I am a single mom, who is financially struggling - don't get support from my child's dad as he is out of the country, so the amount I need might seem small to most, but for me it is huge - for many it will be small :)

I made a huge honest mistake at work ... I have owned up to it but my boss is saying I must pay to rectify it. the fact that I have just accepted another job offer, that will be brilliant for my child and I in the future, so my boss is even less sympathetic.

Any small amount would be much appreciated.
