Floods havoc. Total loss of entire livelihood

Hello. My name is Peter am a father of 3 young kids two girls and one boy. I love them very much. Am an artist, precisely a sculptor working predominantly in stone. During this period I travelled to my rural village called kisii 400 km.from the capital Nairobi where I left my children and wife. The lockdown now a second one in place both found me here. I have been trying to support my family on how best I can sending them cash and food the most recent one was on Saturday when I sent them maize, millet mixed with cassava for porridge, raw bananas, raw avocados. On Thursday morning I received a distress call from my kids that the flood waters had entered our compound (rented) and entered our house through the main door. This incident occurred at night denying them any chance to salvage anything. My children only managed to escape from the house with their lives and a few food items everything else was soaked in water and still is. My family is now housed in a one bedroomed house shared with the owner.

The refrigerator, computer, gas cooker, computer, books, my artwork ( no worry of them getting damaged) but the most worrying is that all my power .Working tools were also not spared they were completely covered and stayed under water for days rendering them not usable. All our beddings were soaked, all the clothes utensils were all mixed with sewage water.

I know well that each and every one is going through tough times during this Covid19 period.

Please if you find it in your heart to donate at least something small it will go a long way to help me to settle my family in a more better and secure place as I seek a lasting solution to the problem.
