I Just Want To Go Home

I am a natural born citizen of the U.S.A. I am presently 72 years old. I retired and moved to the Philippines in January of 2010, looking for a better life living only on my Social Security income. The Philippines is a beautiful country filled with wonderful friendly people, with a few exceptions. After trying very hard to adjust for 3.5 years, my wife and I have decided to move back home to Texas, if we can get there. I cannot adjust to the lack of security. There are the local bandits who will stop vehicles and rob everyone (or possibly worse). There are the NPA rebels who are trying to overthrow the democratic government. There are groups of radical Muslims that will kidnap foreigners for ransom. All three of these groups are closing in on the area where we live. Moving will not help as these groups are everywhere in the Philippines. I have not been able to adjust to driving here. In our major city, there are almost no traffic lights and no stop signs. It is every man for himself at intersections. More than 50% of the drivers have no license, no license plates and no insurance. Lights on vehicles at night is an option that almost nobody uses. There are several additional reasons that I can not adjust to living here, but I have honestly tried to adjust. We have the necessary money for our paperwork for travel. We have the money for food while traveling. We have a place to stay with a friend after we get to Houston until I can get a job. We have money to survive after we get to Houston, until my next monthly check. What we do not have is enough money for our airfare, which will be slightly more than $2,600.00. Please help us raise the money to go home to Texas. Any amount will help. If we cannot raise the needed money, I will refund every dollar donated, or donate it to a charity of your choice. This is not about money for me, it is about money to go home. It would be great to be in Texas for Christmas and New Years. God Bless to all and thank you for reading this.
