We need your help to put an end to the suffering of the indigenous people in Wichi, Argentina.

Official news is that 8 kids in Wichi have already died in 2020 and 3 more during 2021 because of malnutrition according to the information that we have. This is the reason we started this campaign.

According to our contact in the Wichi community, there are more kids dying than the official report reflects. We are going to investigate the real situation to create awareness so that we can bring more help to the people.

Participants of the Aholiab Group (which develop social work, supported by private professionals christian group have undertaken several activities to support a humanitarian trip to the indigenous communities of the Wichi ethnic group. This group is located 70 kilometers from the Embarcacion region of Salta, close to the Bolivian border in Argentina.

The plan is to drive a convoy of 10 vehicles all the way up from Mendoza Argentina with 5 tons of food. On the humanitarian trip, a group of Professional Medical Assistants, Professional Social Assistants, an Agricultural Engineer, and other Volunteers will help take food and clothing to the indigenous people.

We will also make a thorough observation of the drought problem and move around the area visiting the small villages 50 kilometers around the Dragones Area. We will identify as many malnutrition kids as we can find, publish it, and prepare a second humanitarian trip in the next 4 to 5 months.

We have identified the Chieftain of Wichi and with his help, we are going to divide the humanitarian help driving to the remote areas where the Wichi ethnic groups are established. We will go from village to village, to deliver food directly to the people. This will enable us to observe the real situation face to face.

This crowdfunding campaign will contribute to the funds needed for the purchase of food, medicine as well as gasoline needed for the round trip of 1700 km from Mendoza.

Missionary Luis Molina went to Wichi for the first time in 2017. He has been working there since then and this campaign will add more support to the work he has been doing.
