I have been diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy and a severe case of insomnia. Basically, I've been sick for the last few years but my body is unable to heal because I simply can't sleep or rest. As a result, I have been unable to keep a job. Because I am so weak physically, I struggle to function with the simplest of tasks on a daily basis and spend most of my time lying in bed, which has lead me to develop anxiety, depression, etc.

During this time however, I was able to come up with a business idea and have been offered a sponsorship by a large, reputable company. The problem though, is that I am finding it very hard to work feeling the way that I do right now.

In order to gain the strength to continue working on my business (and not lose the sponsorship to do so) I need to be admitted to a sleep clinic to deal with the insomnia. After that I require specialist treatment for the epilepsy - all of which I cannot afford without medical insurance.

Only then can I begin working to make a success of my business. As part of a social responsibility initiative, I would then like to use the tools that I have been given by my sponsor in order to deliver a short and informative presentation at schools and other organisations - educating students, their parents and teachers about the signs of the onset of epilepsy, what to do if he / she finds themselves in a situation where a classmate for example is having a seizure and where / how to find help.

My plan is to become a sponsor myself, raising funds with the help of my clients and their friends / families so that I can make a considerable and regular donation to a foundation that assists people with epilepsy and in similar situations so that they too, can be free of constant pain, fatigue and the frightening reality that becomes one's life when suffering from this condition.
