Good day. My name is Greig. I am a white male born and raised in South Africa.

I am married with 2 young boys, Zane who is 15 and Ben who is 12.

Despite having a Law degree and various Sales and Marketing Diplomas, together with 30 years of Sales and Marketing experience, I have been unable to get formal employment for the last 5 years as I am "unfortunately" the wrong colour! I have sent out over 300 c.v's for specific positions advertised for which I have the necessary qualifications and experience. I have not even managed to get 1 interview!

You see, the problem is that I was born the wrong colour for the country that I find myself "trapped in."

In South Africa the ANC government has instituted a system called B.E.E. (Black Economic Empowerment) and is forcing Corporates to only employ non-whites.

Many previously middle-class whites including myself, have to be entrepreneurial to make ends meet. The problem is that we cannot do business with corporates because they are forced to deal with suppliers who have a majority Black ownership.

Many previously middle-class white families are now living in white squatter camps - tin shacks with no electricity or water. They live from day to day just worrying about their next meal.

Our financial situation has deteriorated drastically over the last few years, with constant threats for the Bank to Auction our property. We do not have the necessary funds to relocate countries.

The horrific crime rate in South Africa particularly against the minority white population makes us fear for our lives daily. Think 51 murders per day, 400 000 people murdered since the ANC came into power in 1994. We have the highest incidence of Rape in the world! We read daily of white families being brutally butchered in the most horrific way! This inhumane cruelty is not only directed against adults, kids of a few months old are being raped and murdered! It is a sick society that we live in! Stealing, dishonesty, bribery and corruption are the standards that our children are being brought up with in this country. I do not want my children to be grow up believing that in order to succeed financially you need to lie, cheat, steal and discriminate. These are not the values I was brought up with, and nor the values that we uphold in our family.

Yes one can look at the past and say that it is because of Apartheid. Yes, Apartheid was discriminatory and not right, however, the sad thing is that the violent perpetrators of these heinous crimes today weren't even born then. Most were born post-1994. In the so-called "Democratic South Africa" or "The Rainbow Nation" as it was called during Mandela's leadership.

Also, the murder and crime rate during Apartheid was a fraction of what it is today!

Besides not being able to get employment and make an honest living as a white, and besides living in constant fear for your family's survival, there is no future for our children here.

White children who pass their final year of school with 7 or 8 Distinctions cannot get into Universities. These places are given to Black students who do not fair nearly as well!

For white sportsmen and women, the "unfair and racist" quota system whereby the National teams have to be predominantly Black, precludes the talented whites from getting selected. Everything is based on colour and not on merit! Hence the proliferation of Professional white South African sportsmen playing their chosen sport in overseas countries.

My 2 children Zane and Ben are very talented - both Academically and in sport, and deserve to have the best chance in life. (They currently both play top level Academy Soccer, and this takes us to the Soccer field 7 days a week!) Both of their dreams is to play Professional Soccer one day.

I have an EU passport ( Irish), and need to relocate my family to a safe and secure country where skin colour does not matter. The logical and easiest option would of course be Europe - one of the English speaking countries. It would be bliss for us to go out and feel safe, and to go to bed at night and not wake up in a sweat when you hear a small noise! It would also be so satisfying to succeed based on our individual talents, and not our skin colour!

I desperately need my 2 boys to grow up without fear, prejudice, hatred and violence.

I desperately need them to be able to develop their talents and succeed based on merit - not skin colour!

I have started sending out my cv to overseas recruitment agencies, but have been told that I do not have much of a chance getting an interview as I am not in that country. Apparently I need to relocate first and then look for a position in the country where I relocate to. I am prepared to work my butt off to bring my family up in a safe and secure country with a brighter future!

Fortunately I have the Passport to get us to safer shores, unfortunately, I do not have the necessary funds to pay for the move and get us settled in our new country. Hence my humble appeal on this platform.

I firmly believe in the Pay it forward notion, and if I can achieve this relocation of my family - I will make it my mission to help others in similar situations in any way I can.
