I Can’t Afford A Lawyer and I Haven’t Seen My Son In Over A Month

Hello, everyone. Some of you know me very well, while others may not. I am a father to a 19 month old son who is everything to me. I have always known that I'd be a father and, honestly, I've never wanted to be anything more than a father. I have provided my son with everything he has ever needed throughout his life, including all financial responsibilities. I have been with his mother for 5 years and we have been married for 2 years. Our relationship was in good standing until our son was born. With a history of depression, my wife suffered from post partum depression very noticeably after he was born, of which she reached out to many of us for to receive help, including her own mother, who chose not to help her. After a desperate effort from all of my family, we were unable to convince her to help herself enough before it was too late. An obvious, unsupported, false allegation that was not pursued by her, became a nightmare that has been taken to a level that was never expected.

A broken justice system has stolen all of my rights in a matter of minutes, rendering me helpless and broke. I had to leave my well-established job, I lost my best friend and love of my life, my son and I are being kept from each other for no reason, and I'm now battling the person I trusted the most because she's pursuing a lie. She has no education, no license, no job, no insurance, blocked me and my family on all forms of communication, not picked up any of her important documentation and belongings from our house that she needs (her W-2s from the past 4 years, our marriage license, Jason's SSN Card, her personal box items with pictures of her father other important , her clothes, her phone, her paint supplies, etc.) She uprooted to her new life immediately with no care of her previous life, leaving all of those personal belongings here, despite her coming here with a police escort to get all of her things after our first court appearance. I even asked her if she was taking her phone and she told me that she already had her own and that she didn't need it. This was later confirmed to have been planned for over 3 months and her grandfather has been paying for her to have a backup phone since May. This was known by her mother and her friends, as well. I expected this to be over very quickly, but the state of NH decided they wanted to pursue charges even though she chose not to. She didn't press charges because it was clear that nothing actually occurred. She currently has 5 different statements that allege completely actions of the same altercation. It is so ludicrous that the last Judge called her out in court for lying and told her that her description didn't match any of her previous affidavits.

Still, I am sitting under 3 no-contact protective orders and haven't seen my son in a month. He missed my 3 year old nephew's birthday party, my family Christmas party, Christmas, and New Years. Furthermore, my lawyer hasn't contacted me in a month, I had to pay $252 to file a parenting petition, I have to withdraw counsel in NH to file for a motion to dissolve the orders or a motion for a speedier trial, and I don't have the thousands of dollars upfront to afford a new lawyer. I just started a new job, but it doesn't nearly cover what I need at the moment. I just want to see my son. I am the primary provider of all his care and he has lived with my family since he was born. Now, her family (her mother and grandfather) are banding together to steal him away. They have never had any involvement in our lives and now they are treating me like they are the ones taking care of him. They are all viciously harassing me and telling me that my son doesn't need me or know me, that I provide no financial support, and claim that I am a "dangerous criminal" who doesn't deserve to raise a son to be like me.

I have a large amount of supporting evidence to all of my claims and just lack the proper funding and guidance to properly complete my legal actions. All of you who know me, know that I am a great father and deserve to be with my son. I have no criminal record and am probably one of the least violent people you will ever meet. I am being attacked under false claims and I'm asking for help now. If there is anything you can do to help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount will help. I normally wouldn't do something like this, but I don't have many options left. The family I once loved and took in as my own is fighting me head first and providing my wife with endless financial support for her legal endeavors. I am struggling having to do this alone and evil will prevail if I do not take the proper legal action. My son deserves better than this. I made a pledge to provide him with best and keep him safe when I chose to become a parent. Every parent has this responsibility and deserves the right to be part of their childrens' lives, if they want to be. It is a crime for a parent to take that away from another. Don't let alienation happen to the people you know. This is a fund raiser that is going to help me, but should be a starting point for something bigger that can help any parent who seeks the help I do. This issue has been here for 3 months now. Some people have showed me support and have some understanding of what's happening, but there is quite a bit of information that I have been unable to share. Court is a very limiting thing. They urge you to keep all information private or you can get in trouble. It's like they don't want people to know how messed up this system is. I am in need of both a criminal and a family lawyer which is going to cost about $2000 for each. All money donated will be going to my legal fees and helping me to provide for my son in the interim, as well. If this fundraiser greatly exceeds my needs, I will look into another cause I can put it toward and close my cause. If this is something that others need, I would be happy forming an organization with that exact focus. Thank you
