i am short of money for setting up a small company

by profession i am mechanical engineer. after long years i have got an opportunity to start-up my own company, but i am in shortage of money. because i am a new starter no bank is ready to provide me loan. i request out there for help to start my own company. As of now i am trying to raise fund from my friends and family but it is not sufficient.
