Background:My name is Johnathan Tibby. I am 26 and a former Active Duty Marine. When I was younger I was in and out of the hospital for various reasons. However, during many of my visits therapy dogs would come into my room and make my stay so much better. Being able to spend time with those dogs lifted my spirts and I truly believed help me get better so I could go home and be with my family. It has been a dream of mine to start my very own therapy dog program so I can help people in need when they are going through some of their worst life moments.The Husky Plan:To raise a few husky puppies and help them obtain their Good Canine Citizenship certifications. Once obtained, help them also obtain their Therapy Dog certifications. Mission Statement:To bring job to the lives of Verterans who are hospitalized at VA hospitals, seniors who live in assisted care facilities, and children who are bound to hospital beds due to life changing events, NATIONWIDE!How can you help?By donating funds you will not only be helping me fulfill my dream of having a therapy dog progam but also helping those who are in need of some companionship that may not have anyone for support.How the donations will be used:All donations will be 100% used for the foord, health and comfort, as well as the training, certification testing fees, and all traveling fees to and from hospitals and senior group homes.Rewards for donations:Other than that good feeling in your heart for helping others, Husky Love does plan on creating t-shirts, mugs, pens, and stationary. However, funds are needed to do this and there is just not enough at the moment. Though, hopefully in the near future this can become available!!!
