Campaign Story
After reading the article in the Irish Times two days ago about Fr William's critical work for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, I feel compelled to fundraise on his behalf. The situation for Syrian refugees is literally a matter of life or death now as most aid agencies in South Lebanon have had to leave due to Covid 19. Personally I find it heartbreaking that having suffered so much already, these people should now face starvation.
The U.N. children's agency UNICEF and other agencies said on Tuesday that about 10,000 Syrian children under the age of five living in Lebanon are suffering from acute malnutrition, with 1,800 of them at risk of dying and requiring immediate help to survive. As William also confirms, "“The situation is critical, all NGOs are gone. People are starving"
I realise that this is a challenging time for us all, however, if anyone could spare some funds to donate, it would be very helpful. All funds will be donated to Fr William to help provide food, shelter and vital humanitarian assistance to those who are at risk of starvation and destitution.
Please consider donating to support these children and families. Every donation: 5, 10, or 20 Euros makes such a difference to the lives of these children.
