"I am the friend overseas mentioned in this story. I am doing this on behalf of her to improve hers and others lives who have been through this kind of hardship. This is her story...."

Life hasn't been easy for me these last, few years, so when I was offered a job all expenses paid by someone whom I thought I could trust, I jumped at the chance. The words 'if it seems too good to be true then it probably is' ring so heavily in my ears right now... And hindsight's a beautiful thing. But at the time I felt so desperate and needed to improve my situation so badly that nothing could stop me jumping on that plane. As it turns out, this person who I trusted and thought would never harm me had been hired to get girls for human trafficking. Once stepping off that plane, it didn't take me long to realise I was a prisoner. If it wasn't for the help of a friend overseas and the local authorities coming in to extract me, I genuinely believe I wouldn't have got out that situation alive. I'm still picking up the pieces and trying to move on with my life. Things are still difficult but I have hope that things will work out. I know there's girls still out there trapped in the situation I was in. I'd like to help them as well as helping myself. I plan to start a business selling accessories with a portion of the profits going to girls who have been stolen by the world of human trafficking and I need your help to do this. Help us girls get some power back over our lives.

Thank you for listening to my story
