Humbily asking you to help me realize a line of small (but effective) human rights, participation and democracy empowerment projects with Brazilian citizens living in favelas of Sao Paulo, to make the 70th aniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (at the beginning of December 2018) even more meaningful.

I am a Croatian girl who dedicated her academic, professional and personal life to international human rights system development and providing, empowerment and realization of these rights in everyday practice, which naturally led me to Brazil where I have started my PhD in International Relations (in the area of International Human Rights Systems) with direct entrance based on my previous academic excellence. Forementioned projects are also a crutial part of my PhD research (Education as a Human Right or Trade Service) since I strongly believe Education as Human Right and Right to Education are two pillars of realization of all the other human rights and democracy at its fullest.

Since I am currently studying (read: surviving, hehe) here in Brazil with no scholarship or financial support whatsoever, I could really use your help to make these projects come to light because I feel I still have a lot to offer and maybe make a small difference in the local society based on my knowledge, experties and unstoppable. infinite urge and will to help.

Thank you in advance for your time, for reading this and for your (most welcomed) help!
