Hull University Boat Club takes on a World Record

*Update- We have successfully completed this challenge, not only beating the current record but setting a new record of 7 days. We ended up rowing just over 2 million meters. HUBC are attempting to break the current world record for the longest team continual row on a rowing machine. The current record is 4 days 12 hours and 10 mins. With the help of HUBC's member's, we are aiming to reach five days without letting the chain stop once. The attempt will begin on the 27th of May in the Universities Library. To put this into perspective each member will need to row from 6 to 8 hours. 25% of the money raised will be donated to "Rowing Together with Healthy Minds" which is a sub charity to "Mind". This is an amazing charity actively working towards providing support for anyone struggling with Mental Health. The remaining donations will be used to assist our members partaking in a training camp which is crucial to our crews performance and success. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
