The Kitaotao Tribe was one of the many people being affected by illegal mining. They are located in the mountains of Kitaotao, Bukidnon Philippines. These effect reflect on the children of the tribe, most of the families stop working with their farms because of contaminated soil. Losing their farms, its like losing some resources to support their children. These kids, walk 4-7 Km./day just to be able to reach the accessible school. Most of them, crossed two rivers and walk on bare feet. The children are very eager to learn. So, we are raising these fundraising campaign so that we can be able to provide not just shoes but also uniform, bags, books, notebooks and pen. Next month (June) is the start of the school year and most of the children in the tribe don't have a proper things for school. We can't build bridges or proper roads for them, but with your help we can start with the small things like giving them free shoes and school stuff. These children are the next generation of these tribe and they deserve to be educated because the future of their tribe depends on them.
