I'm 26 years old and I suffer from Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

I've had it since I was 14/15 years old and if you guys know anything about this disease, it is physically and mentally draining.

This condition comes with swollen lymph nodes, boils and scars, usually on the under arms, under boob, inner thighs and private areas. Leaking, bleeding wounds...

Its terrible to say the least.

Over the years, I found certain remedies that helped but hasn't kept it away. There is no cure.

I've always tried to keep my head up but lately it's become so much harder.

Before last May, I was stuck doing freelance work for years because I couldn't find or keep a job because of my symptoms. It made me feel so low because I had bigger plans for my life.

It was hard watching people around me become successful and seem fulfilled, knowing that I'd never have the same life. I couldn't even shower without pain and burning sometimes.

I went to countless job interviews and was turned away because of my disease.

I've also been fired before for being sick and not telling anyone.

Then In May of last year, I found a job finally and employers who were understanding. I was able to work from home if I was sick and didn't have to worry about making enough money to live off of anymore. I was also able to get medical care more frequently and found myself feeling way happier and fulfilled going to work in the mornings like everyone else.

Fast forward to coronavirus and the quarantine...

The place I worked for laid me off and now I'm once again in the same position.

I didn't see this coming and its so discouraging.

I live in The Bahamas and quite frankly, our government doesnt provide help often.

If this post leads to anyone out there willing to help me, I would be over the moon.
