The Idea

To create series of video tutorials about running. What is running - easily accessible sport where you can explore a city, a park, a mountain, a sport for creating new friends, a sport to improve your health, to get fit, to lose weight, to keep mind sharp, to improve self-esteem, to relieve stress, to eliminate depression, to get an energy boost, to sleep better, to reduce the risk of various diseases, to feel the nature, to increase stamina, to strengthen the core of your body.

The videos will cover all stages about running - first steps in running, different types of training, getting into trail running, races, marathons, shoes, gear, nutrition, mental impact, injuries. The main focus are amateur runners, not professional ones.

A lot of people crap on running. They say it makes you weak. It gives you a protruding belly. It’s boring. It makes you scrawny. It sucks. They’re telling you (and themselves) what they want to hear. They hate the idea of running, so they perpetuate myths to make it seem like a bad idea.

Why start running? The answer includes feeling better - physically, mentally, emotionally. Running is among the best aerobic exercises for physical conditioning of heart and lungs. Studies have shown the health benefits to be enormous, reducing the likelihood of everything from the common cold to cancer. Your stamina will increase. You'll lose weight.

Just as important, running like many forms of exercise is a great cure for stress, emotional strain, even mild depression. You'll likely find yourself with fewer headaches and more energy, patience, humor and creativity. Studies have found that healthy adults who exercise regularly are generally happier than those who don't.

And running, quite simply, is convenient. You don't need any elaborate gear. No special playing field or apparatus. No need to juggle the schedules of others. Just a pair of shoes and the inclination to get out the door.

While running can be a social activity, it is more frequently an opportunity to spend a little time with yourself and your thoughts, a chance to develop an increased self-awareness. As you become more aware of the nuances and condition of your own body, you also discover things about your inner self.

Who am I

I am a 28 year old avid enthusiast about running and cinematography. I've been running for several years and during that time I explored many unfamiliar places and found a lot of new friends. I am running from a fast 5 km runs, through 42 km marathons, to a long mountain ultramarathons (~100 km). I have participated in great marathons like those in Barcelona and Istanbul. I have observations on both me and the runners around me. I have knowledge to share. I want to help other people to start running whether they are just beginning their new hobby or they need more specific help.

Besides a keen runner, I am also a tech nerd. I am in love with cinematography even before I started running. I can talk non stop about compositions, depth of field, field of view, exposure, 2K, 4K, 8K, time lapse, prime lenses, tech specs of cameras and so on, and so on... This knowledge will help me to produce easy to understand, good looking and informative videos.

I have a personal website and YouTube channel where I share my impressions from running gear like shoes and gadgets as well I create a video summaries after races like Lavaredo Ultra Trail in Italy. You can check my Instagram to convince yourself how passionate I am about running :)

What I need

The goal of my crowdfunding campaign is €3000 which includes camera equipment (camera, lenses, gimbal, accessories) and bank fees. If the campaign is overfunded I will think about making a subtitles in different languages (Spanish at least) and hiring a good designer for better animations.

This equipment will help me create high quality and good looking educational videos, which will make you a runner. These videos will show you different types of training, different types of running shoes, other running gear like GPS smartwatches (what are they and how to use them), how to recovery from an injury, nutrition tips, how to prepare for your first marathon or trail ultramarathon and many more.

Questions and answers
