House for a change

I live with Hernan, my partner of 16 years, and Sofia our 13-year old daughter.We could not raise money for our own home and have lived all this time with other family members and experienced many difficulties.

Our daughter is a bright and intelligent young lady who attends a private school that we struggle to pay for, so she has the best opportunity in life that we can provide.From the age of 5 she suffered from discrimination in some schools and developed emotional problems.Partial treatment for these has helped but was limited because I could not get a job.

I am still unemployed and seeking work at this difficult time.My self-assurance has become lower because I am completely overwhelmed and tired emotionally from our many problems.

I always dreamt of a house of our own although my relatives are good and have been helpful.A difficult problem is the lack of privacy that we as a small family never had. Sofia has started talking about finding work, as here in Brazil it is legal from the age of fourteen. I would not like this for her because I think she needs to put her full effort into her school work that she loves and consistently achieves high marks for.

It is very difficult to save any money from my partner’s small salary the way things are.I spend more money in the household now than I would if living in a home of our own just with Hernan and Sofia.

Where we live at present the family is big and there are always many people around for lunch and snacks. I need help to get our own place and live a real family life.
