I am local coffee farmer locate in West Java Indonesia. our coffee was the winner of ‘best taste’ at the Specialty Coffee Association (SCAA) Expo Awards in Atlanta, 14-17 April 2016. Our specialty coffee beans won the best taste with a score of 86,25 and had the highest auction for $55 US dollar per kilo.
For the last two years we have been working with several organization and cooperation to provide service as master trainer for coffee farmer. Currently we are working as Master Trainer to give the training for a farmer in Sembalun Lombok, cooperate with Indonesian Government and giz (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH). So we are not only selling our coffee product but we are also give a service such as training program for coffee farmer.
we have everything to produce good coffee, but our coffee production is very limited because our processing unit is very limited. Greenhouse is the main problem for the post-harvest processing. we only have two small green house that only can accommodate/process 1 Ton coffee cherry per month. more capacity is mean more benefit especially for the member of our local farmer. we have 25 members of local farmer that also sell their coffee cherry to us, but since our processing unit is very limited we cannot accept their coffee cherry as much as we want because we must consider about the post-harvest processing. we cannot process the coffee carelessly. we need more capacity to maximize our coffee production.
