House for 3 Kids

A few months back I came across the story of a poor family from my hometown in Romania, struggling to make ends meet.

In a few words 3 kids live on the outskirts of my small hometown, Craiova, in a one room improper dwelling built by their grand-parents, the only family they have left.

The construction is set in an area called The Collector Canal, because is located in the proximity of the city Sewer. Often when it rains, their house is flooded. They breath the wet air that's coming through the damp walls and are often poorly fed by their grand-parents who can hardly manage to keep the household afloat. No running water, no central heating, no kitchen or bathroom.

David is 4 and never knew his father, while the two girls Georgiana, 6 years old, and Costinela 8, were abandoned by both parents. The grand-father is partially paralysed and the grand-mother has a pension of 10 euros a month.

I know you must hear about this kind of stories a lot and I don't want to claim that some stories deserve more attention than others, all I know is that this one is the closest to my heart and it's been keeping me up at night wondering what I can do to help.

My plan is to raise money and help rebuild their home. It is my first initiative of the kind and I feel a little over whelmed but I have a few ideas and I am determined to find a solution for them.
