House fire – Our friend Joe and his family facing a total loss

After the devastating fire of the house in the Sebnitzer district Hertigswalde our friend Joe and his family facing a total loss.

Joe and his family had fulfilled their dream of owning their own home in the spring of 2018 with the purchase of the house. Since then, every free minute has been put into the renovation, friends and relatives helped with the work.

Now it was almost done. In January, Joe, his girlfriend and their two small children - one four years old, the other six months - wanted to move into their new home. The fire on the night of Thursday 10th, January 2019 destroyed that dream. The house is completely destroyed. In order to finance the house and the renovation, our friend has taken out a loan, which must continue to be paid despite the fire. In addition, costs continue to be incurred for a rented apartment.
