House downpayment help for my BFF

All About Bridget: My best friend Bridget is a born and raised Louisiana native. I met Bridget when we shared a class at Southeastern Louisiana Univeristy in 2000. We've been best friends ever since. She's definately a NOLA (New Orleans, LA) girl...loves cheering for the Saints, enjoying Lucy's hamburgers, and running the Crescent City Classic 10K. She's the kind of person you wish was your neighbor, daughter-in-law, employee or daughters best friend. She's genuine, kind, caring, compassionate, silly, honest and inwardly beautiful as well as outwardly beautiful. If you're lucky enough to know Bridget you know that what I wrote above doesn't come close to describing her. The Situation: She's been renting a house for the last few years but now her landlord has notified her she must move. The property is changing hands and her continuing to rent is not an option. When I heard the news I suggested buying a home instead renting another place. That's when she confided that student loan payments, medical insurance premiums and other monthly bills left little at the end of the month for saving. Although she works full time and doesn't live outside of her means it's been hard for her to save. Even if she's able to find a home for $100K the downpayment would still be $20K...and that's not counting closing costs.  The Solution: I need you to donate. Every little bit helps. I know my post is just one of thousands but if you have just $1 to spare it will go towards fulfilling a wonderful person's dream.
