To raise funds on a loan basis

Hotel Barge is a proposal to build and operate a high quality floating hotel for up to 4 guests on the larger canal and river system York Selby and Leeds Liverpool.

We need to raise £65,000 to add to my £20,000 in order to book a build slot and take this project to completion. I can build and commission this project for £85,000 paying £5,000 for design drawings and licence fees.

Unknowns at the moment cost of advertising and a website? (Perhaps £2,000 inc booking system)

There are many other problems to overcome they are understood! and they can be dealt with prior to build start date.

The sailing program will be for 25 to 30 weeks a year and let for 5 days a week.= 125 to 150 days / year the average cost is estimated at £125/night and would be on a full board basis.inc a glass of wine with dinner or a beer or similar would bring in £15,625 to £18,750 per bed.

Full occupancy is for 4 beds = £62500 to £75000 pa we understand in the first year this is unreasonable and at half occupancy £31,000 to £40,000 is more realistic.

I have a pension and private income of £15000 pa available to make initial re-payments from until the project starts to make revenue.

All loans will be re-payed within 6 years of completion and interest payed at 8% pa on balance outstanding.
