I'm hosting a web series on YouTube where my friends and I read and critique popular books that aren't necessarily worth the hype they receive.
Currently, we're working on reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and we're planning on reading the sequels before moving onto the works of Cassandra Clare.
The thing is, after we finish recording Twilight and New Moon, I don't actually have any of the books I'm planning on reading with my friends. I know, I know... "Why not go to the library and check them out?"
Unfortunately, because of my current family circumstances right now, I can't get out to the library as much as I'd like, and because of the erratic recording schedule my friends and I have going for recording our Twilight and New Moon critiques, using the loan renewal system that my local libraries have won't always work out. Also, I don't have an ereader, and any ereader apps I could download to my computer don't display well enough for me to read comfortably.
So, for me, the best way I can get the books needed for my critique series is to order them on a secondhand books website and have them sitting in my room until I know for sure what the recording schedule for the web series is.
