Hospitalization/Medical Expenses for Our Daddy/Lolo Pol

Good day! We, the Salenga Family need your help with the hospitalization expenses/ therapy of our father/grandfather who is Leopoldo Salenga. For us his family to continue fighting for his recovery and good health. As of now, he is confined in First Cabuyao Hospital and Medical Center.

He was brought to the hospital ICU last Tuesday, April 27, 2021, because he can hardly get up and already vomited with blood. He had lost his consciousness already while they are on their way to the hospital and only after a few minutes he then regains his consciousness. As of now, his ability to talk is affected and his body is still not in a good condition.

He is now under an NGT tube in his stomach wherein his blended food is passing thru. The doctor’s initial findings are that his brain had already suffered series of episodes of mild stroke. It is said that his body was able to get through these attacks that is why it wasn’t noticed. And this last attack was the one that made his body too l weak that he cannot handle it anymore which is why his brain and his ability to talk were affected. He has a low hemoglobin count that affects his brain and body functions very badly. He needs 4 bags of blood transfusion. This causes him to be on sleep only and not conscious. He also has stomach bleeding which is still for further evaluation and cannot be detected what is the real problem.

As of now, continuous tests are still ongoing and might take a long way and recovery will lead to continuous medication and therapy. Our hospital bill is more than 800,000 thousand pesos already (excluding doctors’ fee) and we still don’t know when he will be hospitalized. We also have everyday expenses outside the hospital coverage like his supplies (diapers, pads, wipes, tissue roll, etc.), some other laboratory tests, and medicines that are accumulating to 5,000 pesos in a day.

We do this fund drive to be able to collect some funds for the continuous hospitalization/needs of our father/grandfather. We don't have enough capacity as of now to shoulder all these expenses.
