Campaign Story
Manang Inggay (Dominga Flores) is a
63 years old grandmother from Pangasinan, Philippines. All her life she and her
husband have been tilling a small rice farm they do not own. When not working on
the farm, she would go to the church and care for their elderly pastor, a liver
cancer patient. Last October 2019, she accompanied her pastor to Manila for
treatment. One day, Manang Inggay suddenly felt weak and could not get up. She
was rushed to the nearest hospital and a day later she had a heart attack.
Due
to complications, she has been staying in the ICU. She wanted to go home to her
family and be transferred to a public hospital in her hometown. Though upon the
evaluation of the hospital social service, she is marked as a charity patient,
the hospital bill is still enormous (equivalent to 3-year salary of a minimum
wage earner). She needs to pay her bill and will have enough funds for further heart
treatment. Her family did their best to raise funds from their kin and village
and could raise only enough for her medicines. Please contribute to Manang Inggay's
hospitalization and heart treatment
